经过这本书，我了解了美国民主党和共和党的由来，一开始的共和党和民主党，实际也是南北战争之后，国家分成两派，北方所代表的一派成为共和党，南方代表的一派成为民主党，即使现时不能用南北还划清共和党和民主党，但他们一开始的确是由南北方所形成的。

一本好书不仅可令看到里面凄美的爱情故事，还可令看到当时美国上流社会的社交方式，以及他们的礼仪，还有当时美国战争年代群众的处境，每一处都刻画得淋漓尽致，当我们为主人公忧伤快乐兴奋之余，也能够从她身上看到我们自我的影子。
