其中有两种对待婚姻的态度，一种是像Elizabeth和Darcy的心心相印才能结为连理，另一种是Collins和Lucus的那种为了结婚才结婚。虽然故事发生在那个年代，但是这一经久不衰的话题至今日也被人津津乐道，而人们对此的回答也是莫衷一是。
女主的独立个性，对爱情的执着追求使得她成为英国文学史上的可爱女性。她总是有她自己的想法。而她善良的姐姐吉英总是把人往好处想，最后也获得了自己的幸福。
故事的内容曲折漫长，很佩服作者超强的想象力，把一些看似家长里短的事情写的别有一番风味。塑造了许多鲜活的形象：Mr.Bennet的幽默讽刺，Bennet夫人的虚荣愚蠢（她的无时无刻的絮絮叨叨，我怀疑作者身边一定是有这么一个原型话痨），Collins对Catherine夫人张口即来的彩虹屁，还有Lydia像她母亲一样的愚蠢……当然也有一些善良的人，比如lizzy的舅舅舅妈
总之两人克服了种种困难最终才走到一起。一边为Darcy的不会言辞感到捉急，一边又为Elizabeth的言辞犀利而忧心。书中不时穿插着主人公们书写的长长的信件的内容，感觉写信真的好浪漫，想起了那句话，从前车马慢……一生只够爱一个人。
或许书里面最让我吃惊的是Darcy先生，有着男主光环庇佑的他，即使在刚出场时，傲慢目空一切，却离奇的在表白之后，变得礼貌起来。让人不得不感叹爱情力量之伟大。
简·奥斯丁所刻画的女主人公或许正是她自己对爱情观的写照，她个性独立，宁肯终身不嫁也不愿意向阶层偏见低头。或许是这样才会使她专于创作，留下了这经典的作品。

After watching the movie, I was doubtful of Elizabeths love towards Darcy, maybe the gorgeous garden and heroic behaviour of Darcy made her such an illusion.However, the book has a more detail illustration to make it clear.
